Fall Family Weekend 2026

IU Family Weekend 2026 is September 18–20. It's a great opportunity to connect with your Hoosier and experience the IU campus. We'll host a weekend of events, including a tailgate for an epic football showdown between our national champion Hoosiers vs. Western Kentucky. 

Highlights include:

Friday, Sept.18: Welcome Reception

5–7 p.m.
Indiana Memorial Union, Alumni Hall, 900 E 7th St.

No RSVP necessary. Join us for our opening reception to kick off the weekend’s festivities, connect with campus leadership, and meet other families. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and a warm, casual atmosphere as we celebrate our vibrant community together.

Saturday, Sept. 19: Family Weekend Tailgate

12–3 p.m.
Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall
Cost: $50 per person

Tailgate tickets are SOLD OUT. Thank you, Hoosier families, for bringing your IU spirit. We are excited to host so many families at our annual Family Weekend Tailgate. We are tracking those of you who have signed up for the Waitlist and will keep you posted. 

The Family Weekend Tailgate will consist of high-energy fun, delicious food, guest appearances from Hoosier-the-Bison, the Marching Hundred, and great music before the big game. 

Saturday, Sept. 19: IU Football game vs. Western Kentucky

4 p.m.
Memorial Stadium

Game tickets are SOLD OUT, but check your favorite ticket reseller for availability. (Seat Geek is IU's preferred partner for secondary market ticket sales).
