Student Involvement Fair

Involvement Fairs are your opportunity to meet face-to-face with student organizations and learn how to find your community here at IU. Advisors, mentors, and Student Involvement and Leadership Center staff are on site to help you learn about experiences and connect with organizations that interest you.

Student Involvement and Leadership hosts two primary Involvement Fairs: The Fall Involvement Fair occurs every August during the first week of the semester and features nearly 450 student organizations and community partner agencies along with food trucks. Then each January, the Winter Involvement Fair offers a second opportunity to connect with over 200 participating organizations.

Talk with an Involvement Ambassador

Weighing your options? With so many student groups on campus, it can be hard to choose and prioritize what interests you most. Connect with the SILC Involvement Ambassadors to talk through your experience and get help exploring your options. Schedule an appointment, contact clubs@iu.edu, or stop by the Club Hub for help.

Hazing prevention and reporting

Hazing is strictly forbidden at Indiana University. If you have experienced hazing, witnessed hazing, or suspect someone you know has been hazed, report it. Your decision will make campus a safer place for everyone

Student organizations are responsible for many of the discussions, activities, and traditions we value at Indiana University Bloomington.

They also are responsible for upholding university policies, taking accountability for their members’ actions, and a whole host of managerial tasks such as finding funding, recruiting members, and promoting events.

With so many organizations on campus, it is hard to believe there’d be room for more, but any student with an idea is always welcome to request a new club! If you are enrolled at Indiana University Bloomington, you can request to start a registered Self-Governed Student Organization (SGSO) via our new organization form on beINvolved.

But first, schedule a meeting with an Involvement Ambassador to see if your organization already exists and to learn more about the new organization registration process.
